33-year-old Paulette Spears' 8-year-old son called 911 on her after he grew concerned about her drunk driving.
The Vancouver boy called 911 and said, "I don't know where we are and mom's not acting normal. She's been drinking at a restaurant … I don't think she knows what's going on."
Paulette tried to get the phone from her son, but he wouldn't let go, so she bit him. Police eventually found them and she was arrested and charged with drunken driving, reckless endangerment and assault of a child.
The boy and his 5-year-old sister were given to a family friend.
