Her Magesty has left the country!

And, as has been the case with everything surrounding Malawi and the pop star, Madonna’s most recent trip to the African country has been mired in drama.

The Material Mom, who sparked off marriage turmoil rumors after going on this journey without her husband, has been criticized (this time) for failing to let her adopted son’s biological father see little David.

“[Yohane Banda, David’s birth dad] was told he would spend some time with his son,” but the meeting was canceled, reports People magazine.

Banda, an onion and tomato farmer, left the border district of Mchinji early Saturday expecting to reunite with David. But it was not to be. “They had reached the town of Namitete when the executive director got a call from Madonna’s people telling her that the meeting had been called off,” said the source. “They were not given reasons.”

Although several British tabloids have reported that the father-and-son reunion took place Tuesday, orphanage sources say the peasant farmer had been waiting for the meeting.

Madonna’s rep, Liz Rosenberg, says she did not know whether the reunion took place.

Her Madgesty was supposed to visit South Africa after her trip to Malawi, but she cancelled those plans after being snubbed by former South African president Nelson Mandela, whose handlers told Madonna that he was too busy for a meeting.

And, despite repeated reports that she was looking to adopt a little girl, Madonna’s publicist says that’s not true and tells all the haters to fuck off. Well, not that last part. But she should!
